considering how finn's parent's card looks like they are not indestructible but it would have probably been jut damaged and not pierced through. i dont remember if it was his father's or mother's card though

Realistically speaking, if they were regular paper cards with magic properties, which happened to be scattered across the continent like this, then 50% would be destroyed (getting soaked, ripped, etc.) before the story even takes place and the other 50% would be found by people (assuming that they sense their power) and then during the conflicts, probably another 10-25% would get lost. That's not what this story is about...

What makes you think Finn's card it's damaged? Although I did thought that at the beginning, later I saw the different patterns in all those cards and realized it's the image of the card's power not that it was damaged. See the 5 of Spades at @12:26 and it looks like Finn's 2. I think they have similar powers

While there might be pattern, it literally looked like crack which i doubt is a pattern, plus about similar powers its about card types themselves. Spades, hearts, each of them have different type, one affects body, one summons weapons etc

I think the fact that it was never talked by High Card's people that Finn's card was damaged and that it seems to work perfectly fine are proof that the 2 is not damaged... Still, there are two episodes left, I think, so the answers might be there
